About our timber decking
Power timber decking creates a warm, natural platform for dining, seating and everyday garden use. The boards use slow-grown Scandinavian timber and measure 28mm thick.
The modular bases use Tanalised 95mm by 44mm rails. Substantial 85mm square newel posts support the optional handrail sections.
There are 45 nominal sizes from 4ft x 4ft to 20ft x 20ft. Always use the precise metric dimensions when preparing the site.
Why we chose this timber decking
"The 28mm boards give these decks a solid feel. I also like the modular base because it simplifies a large part of the build."

Timber decking construction at a glance
Buying tip: Check the exact finished footprint, including cover boards, before preparing foundations or ordering surrounding materials.
Matt's fitting tip: allow water to escape
Keep the prepared base level and well drained. Do not let soil or debris sit against the timber structure.
Looking after pressure-treated decking
Pressure treatment protects the timber against rot, decay and insect attack. Outdoor wood still changes colour as it weathers.
Apply a suitable timber treatment promptly after installation. Clean the surface regularly and renew protection according to the manufacturer's care guidance.
Inspect fixings, board ends and areas close to planting each year. Clear leaves before they hold moisture against the deck.
Timber decking or composite decking?
Timber has natural grain, warmth and character. It can also be refreshed with a compatible stain or treatment.
Composite decking usually needs less routine treatment and has a more consistent appearance. See our composite decking range for an alternative.
